Community lands are central to Kenya’s economy, culture, and ecosystems. They:
Cover 60% of Kenya’s land mass

(1 in 5 citizens)
Over 70% of Kenya’s wildlife is found outside of formally protected areas, on community land.
Drive food security: 80% of Kenya’s beef comes from community land
